This is a question we get asked all the time. At this stage, we’re probably all desensitised about C****-19. So what ingredients do I need in the cabinet to support my immune system every daily? (besides our Immunity gummies obviously) Read on to find out.

Zinc

Zinc is an important mineral involved in hundreds of different chemical reactions in the human body. It plays important roles in the immune system, digestion and wound healing. It’s crucial for normal development and function of cells that are involved in natural immunity such as neutrophils and natural killer cells. A lack of Zinc can lead to an impaired immune system as well as hair and vision loss. Good sources include meats, dairy products, seafood, and root vegetables.

Vitamin C

Not much needs to be said here. Vitamin C is a crucial nutrient which plays roles in immune system health, cell function, wound healing and helps maintain healthy bones. Great sources include oranges and peppers.

Selenium

Selenium is a trace element that plays an important role in immune system functions and can prevent cell damage through its antioxidant actions. Good sources of Selenium are fish, meats and Brazil nuts.

Also it’s CRUCIAL to remember - our gummies are not there to replace intake of healthy and varied foods but rather to help supplement your diet. The European Food Safety Authority have not yet authorised any claim for a food or food component in the UK to be labelled as protecting against infection. So if there are any companies that claim their products “protect” or “enhance” against infection are, well, chatting BS.
